Lamin’s walk & talk

Lamin’s Walk and Talk is exactly that: lots of walking and lots of talking. Definitely a case of WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).

Lamin Bojang, an experienced and knowledgeable birder as well as being the founder of the Gunjur Village Museum, takes you on a leisurely tour in and around Kunyoong Forest Park, situated right on the doorstep of Footsteps Eco-Lodge.

Lamin will describe and talk about just about anything and everything you may see or hear along the way. This could be a bird, monkey, a deer or even a snake, and will most certainly include trees and shrubs, many of which have religious or medicinal uses.

The walk and talk is a fascinating experience and a great opportunity to learn more about the local people and their culture and traditions as well as gathering information about the area around Gunjur Village in general.

Lamin’s Walk and Talk lasts about 2-3 hours depending on your ability. An early morning trip means you get to enjoy our magnificent sunrise or, alternatively, a late afternoon trip means you can enjoy a typical Gambian sunset. Either way you are in for a treat, so just ENJOY!

Lamin’s Walk and Talk is just one of the numerous activities and things to do at Footsteps Eco Lodge, many of which can be easily combined to make a full day of fun should you so desire. Check out the full list of activities at the bottom of the page and see what else might take your fancy.
