  • Safety: A peaceful, highly welcoming destination with low crime rates. Common-sense travel awareness is all you need.

  • Currency: Gambian Dalasi (GMD). Cash is king here; it is best to carry local currency for markets, taxis, and small beach bars. (As a general guide, £10 GBP is roughly equivalent to 980 GMD)
